Frankenstein's Moonbat

Well, here comes the new Democrat Majority to kick off the new Congress with a press conference, and guess who shows up?

Media whore "Peace Mom" Cindy Sheehan and her merry band of anti-war protesters. (At the link is the video of them shouting down Rahm Emanuel - priceless).

Standing in front of the microphones, Democrat leaders looked very uncomfortable and gave each other sidelong glances as if to say "Um, what the f@#& is she doing here?" Sheehan and company weren't interested in the domestic policies that Dems intend to try and ram through over the next two weeks. Nor, I suspect, are many of the other Leftoids who erroneously claim credit for the Congress' recent change of control.

Finally, Emanuel and the others had to retreat back to the caucus room to hide and wait for the rowdy bunch to go away.

Um, Rahm. I don't think they're going away anytime soon. Hey, you guys helped create this monster, now you're going to have to deal with it.

UPDATE:
Sister Toldjah has the money-quote:

"If your party canÂ’t stand up to being confronted by hostile moonbat Â’supportersÂ’ like Cindy Sheehan what does that say about your ability (or lack thereof?) to stand up to Al Qaeda?"
UPDATE DEUX:
Thanks to JAron for the inspiration:

"Blog Wars" And The Improbable Candidacy Of Ned Lamont

A week or so ago, I made reference to a one-hour documentary called “Blog Wars” that was to be featured on the Sundance Channel. I had DVR’d it and finally got around to watching it.

HereÂ’s my review.

Is The Moonbat Brigade Going Soft On Bush?

I suppose the Democrat takeover of Congress has dealt a healthy dose of realism to the unhinged Left, but some of them seem to be actually...I don't know...mellowing? Remember that the one dream that united all the Bush-hating rutroots was impeachment, impeachment, impeachment.

Chris Bowers at MyDD.com yesterday:

Do I think that Bush has committed impeachable offensives? Probably. However, I would rather pursue a course of legislative action that would keep our caucus close to united, help large numbers of actual Americans, have a legitimate chance of passing both branches of Congress, conduct actual investigations and oversight and, if those investigations prove worthy, close by censuring Bush. I think is the appropriate and responsible way to act, a way that will help people, tarnish Bush, keep us popular, and keep our majorities. That is why you won't see me pushing for Bush's impeachment on this blog, or anywhere else, over the next two years.
Certainly there's dissent among the ranks when you read through the comments that follow. But other than possible censure based on investigations, Bowers is essentially "cutting and running" from his previous support for getting Bush at all costs.

Interesting. When finally presented with a chance of Democrats exercising power, some in the nutroots may be succumbing to the fear of losing it. The big question is: will the ground troops who have invested so much of themselves into this effort buy it? Most of them have never been all that concerned with what was the "appropriate and responsible way to act." We shall see.

In any case, it will definitely be fun to watch.

The Left's Iraq Obsession

Having watched the House Majority Leader race over the last couple of days, I've come to one definite conclusion about the Left: unless every single soldier is withdrawn from Iraqi soil by the time George W. Bush leaves office they will not consider this last election a success.

Forget about Nancy Pelosi's other agenda items, it's Iraq or nothing. This is why even a bumbling, ethically-challenged doofus like Jack Murtha has so much support among the nutroots. It's his one big issue: Iraq, Iraq, Iraq. Nothing else matters. Get us out and get us out now. With no consideration of the consequences.

Why? It's the BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome). The moonbats know that impeachment isn't a realistic option. They know that the President will leave office in January, 2009 - right on schedule. That's two complete terms. They're only hope in satisfying their Bush hatred is to force the U.S. to completely withdraw before that fateful day so they can "tarnish" his legacy. Forget about leaving the Iraqi people in the lurch. Forget about letting a fledgling democracy turn into a new terrorist state. Forget about the sacrifices our brave men and women in uniform have made over the last three plus years. To them, their lives are unimportant anyway.

We must fail. Which means Bush fails. And if Bush fails, these ass-clowns can finally get their jollies and a feeling of self-worth, like they made a difference. This is as close to "bringing down" a President that they despise as they can get. And revenge against Joe Lieberman would be the icing on the cake. It's all they can think about.

It's not about governing. Even their most cherished "progressive" ideas will take a backseat to this all-encompassing obsession if they get their way.

It's really breath-taking when you think about it, to be so consumed with this bitter bile that everything else can go by the wayside.

Ugh. What a pathetic way to be.

Kerry Smears, Moonbats Cheer

Sen. John effin' Kerry's smear of the military is actually exciting some Leftards. Should come as no surprise as his insulting comment reflects exactly how they feel about them.

As Martin Lewis at the HuffPo screams for Kerry to stop digging himself deeper, some of the comments on his post speak volumes:

- from "balance":
"Anyone that would join the military and knowingly be used as a pawn for Bush is an idiot. I hope Kerry does not apologize."

- from "superfly":
"It's about time Kerry fought back! John, do NOT apologize to these criminals!"

- from "accountability":
"there is no bomb. kerry did not mispeak. i don't think he was telling a joke, instead confirming what we already knew, that under the abysmal bush, there is a steady recruitment of cannon fodder - the poorly educatied, with no jobs and no future to look forward to. "

and
- from "boblahblah":
"Even though Kerry apparently muffed his so called attempt at a joke - HE GOT IT RIGHT... THE BULK OF OUR MILITARY IS MADE UP OF PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE COLLEGE DEGREES NOR A LOT OF JOB OPPORTUNITIES - THAT'S WHY MOST OF THEM ENLISTED!"

If you haven't already, it's time to circle November 7th on your calendar. And bring a friend.

Two years ago, this country dodged a major bullet. This year, it's just as important for Republicans to show up at the polls.

Democrat Denial And Delusion

For weeks before today, I had planned to put into words the sad state that the Democrat party is in as well as my own disgust at the way so many of them view our current war against Islamic Fascists. I thought perhaps today would have been an apt day to do so.

However, Confederate Yankee made a post today that expressed exactly what I was thinking but in a more eloquent manner than I ever could. Here I share a portion that really nails it.

"Five years later, American Democrats have more hate in their hearts for their own President than they do for the terrorists that killed almost 3,000 of their countrymen. They refuse to confront terrorism. Some would rather blame America and the world they think they understand, rather than face up to the fact that the world we all thought we knew was just an illusion. They are in catastrophic psychological denial, and cannot face the fact that "the other" they have spent their lives providing moral equivalence for were the ones who attacked our country.

It is so much easier to blame Bush than face the fact that we were attacked because we are the beacon of freedom for the world, and the greatest threat to radical Islam. It is so much easier to blame Bush, than realize that decades of denial led us to that horrific moment. If they can only blame Bush for that day—and every day since that their worldview has been shown to be vapid, self-serving, and a fraud—then their denial can go on, and "reality-based community" can continue to live in a world that has refuses to learn, to adapt, to change.

The Left refuses to learn from 9/11 and knows no way forward. It is why they grasp so insistently to the past, clinging to what was and what might have been, instead of moving forward to forcefully determine what should be and what must be done to secure our freedoms for the future. It is they that childishly insist for the "Perfect War" theory, stating a belief that any war not fought with perfect foresight and accuracy is wrong, while knowing securely no war has ever met their standard.

They show that they hate the present and don't understand the lessons of the recent past. They strive for stagnation and stasis and blaming ourselves, but they offer no hope for the future.

They blame Americans for radical Islamic plans for world domination. They vilify our troops instead of the terrorists they fight. They attack western governments fighting for freedom instead of eastern governments and the terrorists they sponsor that are fighting for oppression and destruction of our way of life.

The Left offers America and true liberalism a death sentence, seeking to repeat the failed policies of 30 years in denial.

We will not listen to them again.

That, perhaps, is their greatest fear of all."

And these are the stakes heading into November 7th.

Anti-Semitism Rife At MoveOn.org's Web Forum

The NY Post reports this morning about how the forum portion of LoseOn.org's website is riddled with Jewish slurs against CT Senator Joe Lieberman.

"We recognize that Action Forum is an open forum intended to foster the free flow of ideas," ADL head Abraham Foxman said in a letter dated Aug. 31 to MoveOn, which supported Lamont in the Democratic primary against Lieberman.

"Nevertheless, since such profoundly offensive content is appearing on a board clearly linked to MoveOn.org, we believe you should assume some responsibility to respond to this hateful content," Foxman wrote in the letter, which was forwarded by Lieberman's campaign.

Foxman cited examples from the site's Action Forum, including "media owning Jewish pigs," "Zionazis," a reference to the senator as "Jew Lieberman" and the question, "Why are the Jews so Jew-y?"

Foxman wrote, "Those who allow hate to rear its ugly head under their auspices bear a special responsibility to distance themselves from that hate, and to speak out against it, as loudly as possible."

LoseOn.org's executive director, Eli Pariser, was...ahem...unavailable for comment, though he did post a statement distancing himself from the forum users.

If Pariser is serious that he disapproves of these offensive comments, will he delete them? Imagine the howling on the Left over that one. Cries of "censorship" would reverberate throughout the blogosphere.

Anti-Semitism has been a major component of the the Leftist nutroots for some time. Just browse through the comments on any given post at some of the more prominent Lefty blog sites (don't even get me started on Dummycratic Underground.com). But LoseOn.org is a 527 organization that funnels big bucks to Democrats.

Democrat Senate candidate Ned Lamont owes the bulk of his success to their efforts.

Now, wither Ned? Will he make a statement denouncing the content on the site? It would be tough. After all, so many of his supporters like to push these neocon conspiracy theories ("it's the Jooos!!"). And when confronted by a racist photoshopped pic of Joe Lieberman in blackface that was created by Jane (firedoglake.com) Hamsher last month, Lamont's response was "Blogs? What Blogs?".

Lamont's opponents should not let up on this one.

Read excellent commentary from The Moose here.

More on this abhorrent phenomena at FrontPage Magazine.

A human waste of citizenship

Curt has a video up that has got to be seen to be believed, as well as some excremental garbage coming from the mouths of the DUmmies on the upcoming 9/11 anniversary. I don't normally call people on the Left whom I disagree with unpatriotic, and I'm very careful about making that charge. But I have no problem calling these idiots unpatriotic; and I would find it baffling if they disagreed and waxed indignant at the charge. If they have no shame in much of the filth they espouse to believe in, then they are what they are: unpatriotic and vile waste of citizenship status.

Curt's been updating his post. Apparently, Superman1969's video was flagged as inappropriate and it was removed. Go check out his reaction. I posted it in the comment section.

"San Francisco...where you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy..."

Over the weekend, I was in downtown Little Tokyo, for Nisei Week. I think I must have missed out on the weekend protests, as I've been checking out Zombie's photos from the San Francisco anti-U.S./Israel rally.

I should have known that something was going on, as a couple of people walked by my booth with placards. I tried to catch up to them, to find out what their signs said, but it was crowded and I had to return back to my booth. I suspect there must have been a San Francisco equivalent going on by city hall, which is only blocks away from Little Tokyo.

I did manage to get a couple of photos of Japanese-American war veterans in the parade:

Instead of republishing some of the vile photographs of the leftie-lunatics this time around, I'll just provide you with the link. Although, this one seriously made me chuckle:

I wonder if the sign-holder is aware?

As Laura Ingraham said on her radio program yesterday morning, political ads should be made of these fringe-fanatics, come election time. Showing them off to middle America, and knowing which political party these nutters are more closely aligned to, can only be good for the Republican Party.

The pro-Israel counter-protestors, however, is a thing of beauty, and I have no problem, viewing and publishing these:

As AirForceWife put it, in a previous comment thread, in order for there to be peace, both sides have to want it. Israel has ached for peace...so much so, that with the help of President Clinton, 97% of the West Bank and 3% of Israeli land was brokered on behalf of peace. But Palestinians and the Arab world have not wanted peace with Israel: they have ached for Israel's destruction.

Tell me of an instance when Israelis have marched and chanted, "Death to Palestinians!" , "Death to Muslims!". Yet in the Islamic States, we have heard it so often from those practitioners of "the religion of peace", that we have grown desensitized to it. And the pro-Palestinian/anti-Israel Left excuse their behavior. Instead of recognizing the hatred of radical-Islamists (which infects even mainstream Muslims) as a source of the world's woes, they'd rather blame the U.S. and Israel for the evil conduct of others. After all, they can do this with the security of knowing we won't behead them for it. Criticizing Islamists, however, might get you killed. God forbid, we should be "creating more terrorists" by standing up to terrorism.

Have Bumpersticker, will Drive

One of the things that I find most scenic during my drives through the "mean streets" of Los Angeles, are all the whacked out bumperstickers on the road. The Kerry/Edwards bumperstickers especially warm the cockles of my heart.

I took this photo back in February of this year. Hullo! Earth to moonbat!

Ah! The chickenhawk argument!

Hmm....must be a message to the Islamo-fascists out there in the wide world. That's right you terror-Nazis: FEAR BUSH!

The driver was going so fast, I couldn't catch up to him to make sure that he had buckled on his tinfoil hat as he sat behind the wheel....moving through life so recklessly.

Of course it is! Which is why we went to war.

This past Tuesday, I finally "came out of the closet" and told a very liberal client of mine that I was....*gasp*...a CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN and a strong supporter of President Bush. I love this gal, and to my relief, like a true, sane liberal, she still accepted and loved me for who I am. She had a bumpersticker that said "No blood for oil". I think she now owns a hybrid.

Where do I get one of these energy bars?

That's just plain messy!

These last two are examples of liberal moonbatmobile. I found the first one above parked alongside the road, around the block from where I live. Why would one deface one's personal property like this? Click it to enlarge. Notice the one that says "I'm moving to Canada"? I wish I had a post-it response to tag the vehicle with, "then why are you still here?".

I posted this video before, under my old YouTube account. I won't do that again; but through Livedigital, I bring you back this clip from Malcolm in the Middle. What made it hilarious for me, was the bumpersticker, "War is not the Answer". I can actually see the liberals who are deranged Bush-haters, resorting to violence to get their message of peace across.

Enjoy the weekend video, and drive safe. If you see any Kerry/Edwards bumperstickers out on the road, don't roll your eyes and fret; we won! Just point, honk, and laugh as you drive by.

Kos To Senate Dems: Kneel Before Zod!

Markos Moulitsas Zuniga (aka "Kos"), the Grand Poobah of the nutroots, has issued his latest decree to Joe Lieberman's Democrat colleagues:

Here's what we all need to do the next few days:

1. Push Harry Reid to strip Lieberman of all committee assignments.

2. Let people know what a sore loser Lieberman is.

3. Get all Democrats -- including Bill Clinton -- to publicly back Ned Lamont.

4. Get the Democratic interest groups who backed Lieberman to switch allegiances in the general.

The DSCC and the DCCC will have to deal with the fact that this race will continue to suck oxygen from great pickup opportunities. And I won't apologize for that, because as a proud Democrat, I will help in whatever way I can the Democratic nominee from the Great State of Connecticut.

Translation: You have your marching orders! You will all help me squander any and all electoral opportunities for this November or be destroyed.

Can this get any better? The DSCC and DCCC must kiss Kos' ring and pay homage to the new king? Watching who among the party leadership will submit will be more fun than any Republican could have hoped for this fall.

Lefty Blogger Uses "Blackface" Photoshop On Huff Post

The frequently unhinged blogger, Jane Hamsher of "nutroots central" firedoglake.com, has outdone herself with a tasteless p-shop mock-up of Joe Lieberman in blackface.

LGF has the link and the picture that I don't care to replicate.

Honest to God, do you think you'll hear one peep of outrage from Al Sharpton or Jessee Jackson - who will be campaigning for Lieberman's opponent, Ned Lamont, this week?

Or perhaps Mr. Lamont would take time out of his schedule to condemn the image?

Yeah, right.

Christmas Comes Early This Year

Rep. John "Cut and Run" Murtha will be out stumping for 41 Congressional Democrats this fall!

Unfortunately, he's probably going to focus on districts where he'll be preaching to the choir. But if there are any swing districts on the list this is awesome news.

But some Democrats, particularly centrist lawmakers who support [Democratic Minority Whip Steny] Hoyer, question whether Murtha can be helpful in many races that their party needs to win if they are to capture control of the House.

“I’m sure Mr. Murtha is going to be traveling extensively, but I bet you he won’t be going to Blue Dog districts,” one lawmaker said, referring to members of the caucus of centrist Democrats from the South. “I can’t imagine that he will be very welcome in many Blue Dog districts.”

The lawmaker said that while Murtha has a centrist record on many issues, voters would be most aware of his strong position against the war, which could alienate swing voters in states Bush won. The lawmaker noted that Democrats need to capture districts in those so-called red states.

A centrist Democratic candidate who requested anonymity to protect his relationships with Murtha allies said he turned down an offer for Murtha to come to his district.

One of the States he's mentioned is Connecticut! Oh boy, I hope and pray that he comes to the 2nd, 4th and 5th districts. Oh please, Oh please, Oh please!!!

Many CT Democrats (the foaming-at-the-mouth, Bush-hating variety) will be thrilled, no doubt. But the rest of us (especially Independents) will say "Hey, isn't that the goofball who proposed a full troop withdrawal and then voted against his own proposal?"

The article in The Hill also speculates that he has another reason for being so high-profile:

Murtha may be calculating that he needs to do more to help candidates if he is to counter HoyerÂ’s prolific fundraising for Democrats over years. Hoyer has given $770,000 to Democratic candidates this election cycle, more than any other lawmaker, his aides say. He has also raised $2 million for candidates this cycle, they add.

If Democrats win the House in November, freshmen could determine who becomes majority leader. One Democratic candidate who said Murtha offered to come into his district said the senior Pennsylvanian is doing “spadework for his run to majority leader.”

“Why else would he be wanting to come into districts like mine?” the candidate said, noting that President Bush carried it by more than 10 points in 2000 and 2004.

I'd love it if whatever candidate he's stumping for introduces him as "the next Majority Leader of the House". They can play that on the news over and over and over and it would suit me just fine.

It's OK To Lose, Just PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!!

NRO's Byron York attended the YearlyKos Moonbat Convention this weekend. Their fearless leader, Markos Moulitsas Zuniga, juiced up the...ahem...crowd of roughly one thousand supporters (which would be comparable to a middle-sized high school assembly) with a rousing speech about all their past "victories". Now, the definition of "victory" for the Kos Kidz is not necessarily winning anything. It's more along the lines of, well, being noticed by the MSM media. York explains:

The odd thing was that Moulitsas’s victories weren’t actually victories. 2003 might have been the year of candidate Howard Dean, but 2004 was the year in which the Democratic presidential nominee was actually chosen—and Dean lost. And while 2005 was indeed the year Dean ascended to the top of the DNC, it would be a mistake to attribute his victory mostly to Moulitsas’s influence. And Paul Hackett, a Moulitsas favorite who ran for a seat in the House from Ohio in 2005—well, he lost. And so did more than a dozen other candidates who ran with Moulitsas’s support.

What’s more, some of them lost in part because they said the kind of things that bring cheers on the DailyKos but that turn off many voters. Hackett not only called President Bush a “chickenhawk,” he also said—echoing earlier statements by Moulitsas himself—that “the Republican party has been hijacked by the religious fanatics that, in my opinion, aren’t a whole lot different from Osama bin Laden.” Voters thought he was a bit over the top—just like some of the bloggers who supported him.

But that doesn’t appear to give Moulitsas pause—or reason for reflection. Instead, on Thursday night, with his face shining down on his followers from large screens on both ends of the stage, he fused the two worlds of the liberal blogosphere—the world of overweening confidence and the world of resentment at those who don’t recognize the Kossacks’ extraordinary power.

“Look at each other,” Moulitsas told his followers. “Look left and right. There have been so many efforts to marginalize us by the media and political elite because we had the temerity to feel passionate about politics. How dare us riff raff demand a voice in our democracy?”

They can’t keep us out any longer, Moulitsas said. We’re going to crash the gates. “People power is a wonderful thing. Everyone can be a leader. Everyone can be a strong voice. Everyone can make a difference. There has been far too much talent, far too much passion, far too much intelligence in this country marginalized by the establishment currently stinking up Washington D.C. And now, that talent has an outlet. It can no longer be marginalized.”

Translation: All of our screaming, foot-stomping and caterwauling may not actually win anything in the strictest sense of the word, but dammit, they're going to pay attention to us!

If this isn't a childish breed of narcissism, I don't know what is.

So Predictable

Yesterday, I posted about the three different courses that Lefty reaction would take on news of the whacking of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. I gave an immediate example of #3 "retreat and defeat" and the moonbats did not disappoint on the other two (each comment is from a thread on the HuffPost):

1) It don't mean nuthin'. We're still no more successful in Iraq with Al-Zarqawi dead (denial)

From "Hattor":

"Sad day for the Spin Masters of the Neocons warmonger. Because they need War an Dead for can make more Money they need a new boogey Man."
From "helonias":
"The good news is al-Zarqawi is dead. The bad news is can we trust that this as truthful information, coming from Bushco."
2) Sure, Al-Zarqawi's dead, but how many innocent Iraqis have died in the process. All this means is that there'll be another Al-Zarqawi to take his place (sour grapes)

From "confused":

"Once again, we've killed those who kill to stop the killing? And how many 500 pound bombs did it take? How many innocents died along with Zarqawi? Sorry, no celebration here--only fear of a "retaliation", more hate, more discension, more of our own dead and more others dead and less and less civilization. The US will keep up the killing to stop the killing which will never stop as long as the Neo Con Global Cowboy/Pirate Criminals are in office."
From "SatanLivesinUSA":
"The US f*cking military can put up any f*cking bullshit headline they want. There will be lots of litte Zarqawis to follow."
There are plenty more put together by RightWingNews, but you get the point. These Left-wing kooks are like automatons. Wind them up, and off they go with their paranoid rants. They must have had a particularly tough day yesterday.

Heh.

Moonbats For Ned

Just as a heads up for anyone in CT who cares to show their support for Joe Lieberman, MoveOn.org is sponsoring a rally on Thursday June 8th at noon.

Where: Omni Hotel, 155 Temple Street, New Haven, CT 06510 (Handicap Accessible)

Good thing they pointed out that it was handicap accessible, I'm sure they're going to need it for many of the attendees.

Apparently, they're providing signs. Here's the link announcing it: http://political.moveon.org/rsvp/lamontrally/index.html

Anyone in the area interested in doing a little photo shoot of the event on their lunch hour can email me photos and I'll post them. Should be interesting.

UPDATE - 8/8/06:
Seems this post got a particularly prolific blog commenter (and proprietor of dumpjoe.com), CT Keith, a little bent out of shape. He wanted me to be aware of his spinal surgery scheduled for the day of the rally. Well, I'm glad to say that the surgery must have gone particularly well. Because it looks like Keith is fit as a fiddle and back on his feet as of August 2.

Also, he seems to have retained enough vigor to go stumping for Ned Lamont (as we can see on this video). I'm not expert on what the usual recovery period for major spinal surgery usually is (especially where you're having a disc removal and a spinal fusion) but this procedure boasts a recovery period of only three months compared to other spinal fusion procedures where the recovery period is six to nine months. So CT Keith must have found the best doctors in CT, being as his surgery was only two months ago.

Congrats Keith! Hope your doing well.

All We Are Saying...Is Give Socialism A Chance! (And Bush Lied!)

Here's a guy that did a drive-by link squat in a comment here. Normally, I frown upon such gauche self-promotion. But then, normally, the links that people leave are to some stupid crap.

However, I gotta give this guy credit. He did a full photo essay on a recent moonbat parade in D.C. Nicely done, and he has good sense of humor. And he served our country in the U.S. Air Force.

Go check out the post here.

Like Sam Kinison said in "Back To School", I like the way he thinks. I'm gonna be watching him.
