The Photo That The MSM Is Ignoring

John Hinderaker of Powerline and I have something in common. We both didn't post this photo because we assumed it would be overkill:

irak soldiers kerry 2.jpg

Drudge has it up as do many bloggers, but the MSM has absolutely ignored it. Wonder why? Thus far, only the NY Post has picked up the story, calling it a "smart bomb" dropped on Kerry. So here it is.

Unfortunately, I had to crop it a bit because MuNu is having problems with turning images into thumbnails.

And the unit has been identified: 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 34th Infantry Division (MN National Guard). Give 'em hell, guys!

1 All you members of the 82nd Chairborne brigade out to read Horgan's Courant column today: http://blogs.courant.com/travel_columnists_horgan/2006/11/plucking_chicke.html

2 Ira, Horgan's taking umbrage against those to evaded service. The last time we had an active draft, I was six years old. So you can drop your lame "chickenhawk" line. Kerry's whole career has been based on trashing our military while holding up his purple hearts as a shield from criticism. Since in your estimation, only people with military service have a right to an opinion on Kerry's stupid and insulting comments, why don't you ask anyone currently serving in Iraq or their families (if you even know any) how they feel about Kerry? I'd say the photo above represents a fairly widespread feeling among them.

3 There must be a reason (Or reasons) behind their motives. They are just not playing with Bush or Kerry. Too bad they will be stuck their without their consent for an undefined period. Because Bushy said so.

4 Without their consent? They were compelled to join??? Oh, and here's a picture taken at Friday's Army-Air Force football game at West Point: http://www.west-point.org/publications/not_as_smart.jpg

5 Good point, Darrin. Many of these good folks are serving their second and even third tour in Iraq - voluntarily. Now if things were as awful as the MSM would have you believe and if they feel they were lied to why would this be the case? God bless them.

6 It doesn't surprise me that the media chooses to ignore photos or information that defies their party line. It's been going on for awhile, but the media has decided not to report the news, but to interpret it for us poor ignorant middle Americans that still don't think Kerry was worth a vote. I hadn't watch CNN in years, and our school got cable and it was on there. I was appalled at the total slime that passed for journalism. It's not reporting, it's editorializing. But these days the news agencies don't denote the difference.
