Sen. Chris Dodd is an asshat...

I can't stand the fact that this turd is one of my Senators. Back in the Eighties he did everything he could to prop up the Communists in Central America. He used to gush all over the Nicaraguan dictator Daniel Ortega - who was getting support from Cuba and the Soviets to expand their influence in the Western Hemisphere.

And now he attacks Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez - a true American success story - for his own petty partison agenda.

Prior to his confirmation (which was all but assured), Dodd questions whether the first Hispanic-American AG in American history will "uphold the values upon which those laws are based. Regrettably, and disturbingly in my view, Alberto Gonzales has fallen short of meeting this most basic and fundamental standard". Hispanics in this country should be outraged - and don't think at least some of them won't be.

Chris Dodd is a disgrace to the U.S. Senate and I'm glad that they picked Tommy Daschle over him for Senate Leader back in the Nineties. He wanted it so bad, too. Loser!

Now the only way he can get his quotes written up is by making a true jack-ass of himself.

UPDATE...
Good for Sen. Joe Lieberman my other Senator who voted for Gonzalez yesterday. Joe is a great guy who, except for when he had to kowtow to the liberal loonies when he was on the ticket with Gore in 2000, I am proud to have represent me. If there were more Lieberman's in the Democrat party they wouldn't be in the sad state that they are today.
