Egypt scrambles after Condi's rebuff...

Interesting. Sec. of State Condoleeza Rice - currently on her "boots 'n black jacket" tour - announced her displeasure at the arrest of one of Egypt's opposition leaders, Ayman Nour and cancels a scheduled stop to meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. And he panics. No Condi?

Within 24 hours, Mubarak orders a change in Egyptian election law to allow actual challenger to appear on the ballot later this year.

Can you see Mubarak pacing back and forth in his office? "I MUST see her. Please, Condi, come and see me. Pleeeeaaaase?!?".
