However, I wanted to remind you of something very important that you may have heard of at the time you first came to Washington but have clearly since forgotten about. The prior occupant of the Oval Office left it in one of your desk drawers. It was left to him by your father, who had received it from President Reagan, passed along to him by his predecessor and so on and so on...

It might be time to search around for it, dust it off and keep it handy for the remainder of your term. You will need it...
