I'm not totally surprised, as the show has had lackluster ratings since it's inception. I have to say that I'm really annoyed, though. I was a big fan of the original series - I think I saw each original episode about 250 times in reruns growing up. I watched a couple seasons of the Next Generation before I lost interest. And I refused to waste my time with that Deep Space Nine and Voyager garbage.
When this series was announced, I was pumped because it was getting back to a time when Star Trek was about what seemed like a much smaller universe. And I really did get into the storylines. Ah, well. Unless it's picked by by the Sci-Fi channel I'll have one less TV show to watch (not there are all that many that I really care about).
At least Battlestar Galactica is showing promise for renewal. Rumor has it NBC may even pick it up for its line-up next year.
Les Moonves is a creep. Wanker!!
