Yes France has troops, but uses them more wisely than the americans (Whose army is stuck in Irak? it's been for so long, I don't quite remember...)
It's sad that americains know so little about the world. What did Geroges Bush do to you guys?
French troops help the UN bring peace back to Lebanon.
Anyway, with chicks like that to motivate the troops, it should be done in no time.

"It's sad that americains know so little about the world. What did Geroges Bush do to you guys?"
he was joking. everyone is aware of france's troops and their abysmal performance since... hrm... napoleanic times. they are the perfect complement to the useless UNIFIL forces that have been watching hezbollah violate various UN agreements in lebanon for years. i'm sure they'll enjoy their cheese and wine while acomplishing nothing towards the disarmament of hezbo for the duration of their stay.

quote: "France has troops?"
Well said! Especially when Iraqis are taking good care of US army with slingshots and adding yet another "victory" to the glorious record of US troops. Priceless!
I wonder if there is an army in the world anymore, which couldn't defeat US troops...

I feel so tired right now that the idea of coming weekend makes me think that Friday is more suited for me than Melissa. At least Friday canÂ’t be disappointed.

And As Long As We're Talking About The French...
I couldn't resist. A version of the Melissa Theuriau montage WITHOUT the loud new-age music in the background. So you can clearly hear her lovely voice.
Almost makes me want to learn French. Sigh.

*sigh*...I love all of her looks! That was just...mesmerizing.
What's up with the new age music though? That was distracting; especially when it was drowning out her French.

There was music?
Gonna have to watch it again.

Well December 7th will live in infamy for yet another reason. During her broadcast, French News Anchor Melissa Theuriau shifted in her chair a little to the left and the weight of the clip-on microphone revealed...a yellow bra!
OK, so it's nothing revealing. But it IS news, I tell ya!! Was this an "accident" or a blatant tease to the love-sick male bloggers of America? We report...you drool like an idiot!
France To Launch Satellite News Channel
In an effort to compete with the dominant BBC and CNN channels, the French government has announced that it will launch it's own 24-hr news network, en francaise.
Executive marketing decision #1 should be:
Hire THIS woman, Melissa Theuriau, and CNN will end up closing their Paris bureau.

Okay, Gary. I'm on the verge of boycotting your blog. Your love for Diane Lane was tasteful. This is...silly...juvenile...almost embarrassing. You're about to turn this chick into the Farrah Fawcett poster of 2005. You're causing a pre-teen like uproar among grown, semi-respectable, intelligent men. You leave me no choice: I'm going to tell your wife.

Ahhh sweet Melissa....
'voulez vous couchez avec moi ce soir?'
I tried that in Montreal when I was "celebrating" my 18th birthday and got mixed results... what does it mean anyway?
*grin*
Yowza what a hottie... I bet her sweet french accent can melt the coldest heart.

Melissa Theuriau
Here is quite possibly the most beautiful news anchor on television...anywhere. I actually envy France for this one.
If MSNBC wants to pull their ratings out of the crapper all they need to do is pay this woman whatever she wants to appear in prime time every night in the States. She wouldn't even have to speak English, they could just use captions. There's something about those hazel eyes. Just can't look away.
UPDATE: There is now an official moratorium on any negative comments about the French until further notice. Sigh.
UPDATE DEUX: Melissa's un-official homepage, lots of screen captures in "the gallery".
UPDATE TROIS: For anyone who's wondering, I have it on good authority that her last name is pronounced "TUR-ee-oh".
UPDATE (whatever the hell "four" is in French)" Another website with LOTS of screen captures and video.

Wow..I think that would just distract me from the substance of any news story she were reporting on.

Whoa! I just visited her gallery that you linked up, and you didn't even pick out the best photo! She is now my favorite news anchor. And I've never even heard her reporting abilities yet.

Agreed. If that woman read the news, I'd have no idea what the hell is going on in the world.

Gary, you are such a schmuck.
Get this, folks: He emails me today and asks me how to pronounce the name "Theuriau." Doesn't say why, doesn't say who it is, just asks, then "innocently" changes the subject to "Lost." If only I had known it was so he could share his latest fantasy gal with the masses... Actually, I'm going to call mfsil and have her get on your case about this. Schmuck.

Four is "quatre," you schmuck.
Do you know how long I had to hear about Jessica Biel after THAT posting???
Augh!
(Sorry, ladies and gentlemen, but if you were related to him, you'd give him you-know-what too.)
