MoveOn.org: Give 'Em Hell, Harry!

Well the Lefties at MoonBat.org are really egging them on. Their latest email is sounding the alarm to its members:

It is important at this moment, when Reid and others are fighting these important fights that we make sure they know we've got their backs. They're taking a risk—they need to know we support them and recognize this sort of leadership. It's important that the Democrats don't let the issue die. We'll be working more and more over the next several months as we get close to the 2006 elections to encourage them to stand up and fight.
Yep, another year of this should do wonders for Democrat candidates.

They've even got a website: Give 'Em Hell, Harry Dot Com. Next November is going to be hell alright, for any Democrat who embraces these nuts.

When Liberals Attack!

Michelle Malkin's new book, Unhinged!, comes out today. She put up a post promoting it and it looks like a good one. As a teaser, she also posted a collection of mugshots from whacked-out Lefties who've been arrested for attacking Republicans and Bush/Cheney supporters.

Go check 'em out here. Pretty damn funny! You may have heard of some of them already. These people are clearly mentally ill. Interesting how you never read about Republicans or Conservatives doing goofy stuff like this. It's always Libs, suffering from BDS*.

*Bush-Derangement Syndrome.

MoonBat.org Rallying The Fringe

MoveOn.org is emailing its petition to oppose Sam Alito:

Bush's ploy to woo the far-right could reshape the High Court for decades to come—but we don't have to let that happen. The president's rock-bottom approval ratings and the scandals engulfing virtually every Republican leader have broken the spell of the right-wing spin machine. If we all speak up, together we have the power to stop this radical nominee.
Reads like an opening crawl to a Star Wars movie, doesn't it?

The email pulls quotes from the likes of "Tailspin" Teddy Kennedy and John Francois Kerry warning of the darkness spewing from Mordor the White House. Of course, neither of these two Senators had any problem voting for Alito in 1990 for his current seat on the Federal Appeals Court.

Here come the fireworks!

Saint Cindy Arrested...Again

I love this woman. I know a lot of people are sick to death of her, and it's unfortunate that her antics are no doubt a source of pain for the families of the fallen. But, can she be any more of a joke at this point?

Political Pit Bull has some first hand observations about her latest publicity stunt - with photos. Too bad she didn't actually tie herself to the White House gates. That would have been a nice touch. Even the media aren't "championing" her anymore. They cover her like the oddity she has become - like a nine-car pileup on I-95 or an overturned tractor trailer.

And I'm sure I'll get lots of happy emails and comments from the deranged Left who are still trying to convince themselves that she's still just a "grieving mom". Let them keep their delusions, because it's their enthusiastic support that continues to egg her on. I can't wait for her latest entry on the land whale's website.

In fact, I think it's time she takes it to the next level. Maybe she can stand in front of the White House and hold her breath until she turns blue. Imagine the A/P photos!

"Peace Mom" Found

Not that most people were actually looking. But Aaron at Lifelike Pundits was curious. Here he lampoons one of her bizarro posts from Michael Moore's website. Funny stuff!

My favorite part is where she bitches that no one in Hollywood invites her to their parties. What a sad, strange little woman.

When "Bush Derangement Syndrome" Just Won't Be Cured

Amusing and pathetic at the same time. As the media continue to plug polls that show Bush's approval rating sagging, the Left is grasping - desperately grasping - at the hope that this actually means something.

Here's a post at Uber-Left "MyDD" getting all giddy over some recent poll numbers, including the recent USAToday poll which has Bush at 39%.

I believe all six of these are record lows. You know Bush is really in trouble when Fox and Gallup aren't propping him up anymore. And forget the 40% floor--the new goal is 60% disapproval.

Beyond approval polls, perhpas the most interesting poll on Bush this month comes from the netroots. Led by After Dowing Street and Democrats.com, a group of netroots activists raised $10,000 and commissioned their own poll on impeachment from AP-Ipsos. In the poll 50% said that Congress should consider impeaching Bush if Bush did not tell the truth about his reasons to go to war with Iraq. Cool stuff and well done.

In the quote above, there are a bunch of links to propaganda at Democrats.com. The guy - distracted by his excitement - didn't even take the time to spellcheck the word "perhaps".

OK, folks. Let's review the reality one more time.

1) Bush isn't running for anything
2) Bush doesn't govern by polls

So unless the poster above is simply unable to comprehend these facts (which is entirely possible), there can only be one reason to be excited about this "cool stuff". The idea of - dum...dum...dummmmmmmm - impeachment. This is their hope. This is what they're hanging their hats on.

It goes something like this: "Bush is evil, vote for us - we're not him" followed by "Bush won? We didn't get our message out!" and then the realization of "Bush won again? What is our message anyway?". Now it's "Impeach Bush, at least we can make him look bad in the history books. We'll show him!".

And - OMG - a grassroots organization has actually raised a whole $10,000 to campaign for impeachment. Sounds to me like someone found a way to raise some easy money off a bunch of naive suckers. Don't they know it's not nice to take advantage of the mentally ill?

Happy Columbus Day!

That crazy Eye-talian explorer! Did you know he has a legacy "steeped in blood, violence and death", not to mention "cultural imperialism"?

Here's a site put up by a Colorado-based group of Left-wing loons, The Tranform Columbus Day Alliance, to repeal recognition of this wonderful municipal holiday and "build a better future for all of our children". How they intend to accomplish the later isn't all that clear.

Hey, Christopher Columbus should be honored as a hero. If it weren't for him you'd still have Indians foraging off this resource-rich continent and hogging it all for themselves. Instead you have an economic powerhouse that produces more food, more advanced medicine, more technology - not to mention foreign aid - for other parts of the world that would otherwise be starving, sick and living in poverty.

Why do these moonbats have to be so damn selfish?

h/t: LMC posted at Llama Butchers

UPDATE: James S. Robbins has a more "serious" defense of Columbus here - not that I'm not serious about my own comments, mind you.

Ex-Donkey Visits Hippyland!

Although the foliage seems to be a wee bit late this year, the colors were at least beginning to show during my trip to Southern Vermont on Friday and Saturday. But then, when you're staying at a place like this:

DSC00007.JPG

who cares?

But the leaves weren't the only colors out. There were lots of "colorful" characters roaming the streets of Bennington this weekend. more...

Pretty darn clever. Check it out here.

Cindy Gets Herself Arrested

Cindy Sheehan's D.C. protest is so pathetic that she's had to go get herself arrested in order to get press coverage.

Sheehan and several dozen other protesters sat down on the sidewalk after marching along the pedestrian walkway on Pennsylvania Avenue. Police warned them three times that they were breaking the law by failing to move along, then began making arrests.

Sheehan, 48, was the first taken into custody. She stood up and was led to a police vehicle while protesters chanted, "The whole world is watching."

Several dozen others? Don't they mean like, maybe,...two dozen? Yesterday it was about thirty people and you gotta figure at least a few have real jobs to go to today.

This is becoming such a joke, it's almost uncomfortable to watch. I hope it lasts!

Two's Company, Thirty Is A "Crowd"

sheehan crew.jpg

At least that's what the A/P considers a crowd. Because that's all the America-hating moonbats that Cindy Sheehan could muster for her march on the White House this weekend.

H/Ts to: Confederate Yankee, Powerline, and BullDogPundit (who makes the observation: "there were more people at my flag football game this weekend")

The Usual Suspects

What's the biggest difference between those who protested during Vietnam and the caravan of loony-toons following Cindy Sheehan around protesting about Iraq?

Simple: Thirty-five years ago, there was a groundswell of opposition to the war made up of individuals who, however naive and misguided, were reflecting a genuine feeling in the country at the time. Today, this motley road show of media hounds is comprised of professional protesters. Opposition to this war, is mostly a reflection of various kook organizations trying to push their Left-wing anti-American agenda.

Betsy Newmark shines the spotlight on these familiar names and faces who always manage to show up whenever there's an opportunity to perform for the cameras - and hatred of America is their primary motivation.

Cindy's Magic Psychedelic Bus Tour

NRO's Byron York reports on Cindy Sheehan's cross-country protest, which is manned by nothing more than a handful of aging hippies and professional protesters.

Don't these people have actual jobs?

Pathetic, yet hilarious. My favorite part is when the RV backs over the Vespa. Like...bummer, man.

Jeez, Those Dems Are A Nasty Bunch

The fellas over at Dog Snot Diaries have been poking their sticks at the Lefty blogs and stirred up a hornets nest on the topic of Michelle Malkin. Really vile stuff.

What is it with these Democrats these days? I swear, if I woke up everyday so full of bile and rage, I think I'd probably kill myself. Go check out these mean old meanies here.

Intoxicated By Her Own Notoriety, Cindy Turns Her Guns On Hillary

Not content be an obsure footnote in history, Cindy Sheehan has turned the pressure up on the NY Senator to appease the anti-war Left.

War protester Cindy Sheehan came to New York last night with a blunt warning for Senator Clinton: End your support for the war in Iraq or else.

Visiting New York City for the first time since leaving her campsite outside President Bush's vacation ranch in Crawford, Texas, Ms. Sheehan told a packed audience in a Brooklyn church that Mrs. Clinton "knows the war is a lie" but because of her political ambitions refuses to voice any opposition.

This will definitely put a crimp in Hillary's current foreign policy kabuki-dance aimed at fooling enough moderate voters into thinking she can be trusted with America's security. The Kos crowd is watching closely, as are the MoveOn.org and Soros-funded "America Coming Together" groups.

Will Sheehan demand a "sit-down" with Sen. Clinton as well? Only if the journalists are there. And they have to much of an interest in her success to do that.

Gore: Bush Knew! (About Katrina!)...

Crazy old Uncle Al is at it again. In a speech to the Sierra Club in San Fran, he not only blames Bush for the aftermath of Katrina but implies that, because of Global Warming, the President knew just how bad it would be:

Bush administration officials have said Katrina's damage could not have been anticipated, but Gore rejected that.

"What happened was not only knowable, it was known in advance, in great and painstaking detail. They did tabletop planning exercises. They identified exactly what the scientific evidence showed would take place," Gore said.

Implicit in this charge is that the extent of the damage could have somehow been prevented - and that the administration did nothing about it.

Clearly the former Vice-President is off his meds again. So Al, how's your multi-million dollar public access channel doing these days?

UPDATE: 4:55pm
On a related note, Mac Johnson of Human Events lays out five proposals that would make future efforts more successful.

How the "Patriots" on the Left Commemorated 9/11...

BullDogPundit did a check of the Lefty Blogosphere to see how the kind of folks that reflexively bitch about having their patriotism questioned honored the fallen.

The result was not pretty, when it was there at all.
